Since 1964, the Dermatology Foundation has invested in groundbreaking research leading to new knowledge, treatments, and cures. In 2024, the Foundation continued its investment and awarded over $2.97 million in research funding. The DF Started Its 60th Anniversary Events with a Bang!
We kicked off our year long celebration by recognizing six decades of progress in the specialty and the career-long accomplishments of our 2024 honorary awardees at the Annual Meeting in San Diego. Our exclusive diamond Anniversary Celebration followed. Throughout the year the DF will be continuing the celebration and engaging with members and supporters on various 60th anniversary initiatives.

Bristol Myers Squibb Psoriasis Research Award!
The DF is pleased to bestow the 2024 Bristol Myers Squibb Psoriasis Research Award upon Marlys S. Fassett, MD, PhD, Associate Professor at UCSF, for her research “Searching for IL-31: Toward Curative Targeting of Psoriasis Skin TRM Cells.” This award, intended for outstanding mid-career investigators, is made possible by the generous support from Bristol Myers Squibb, and was developed specifically for basic, clinical or translational research that would advance aspects of dermatology related to psoriasis. A third award will be available beginning in 2025. Watch this space for application details this summer.
